YOU COULD ASK ME TO ............

Bring a weekly story to your residents, with folksongs & poems.

Give a short course in harmony singing.

Bless your wedding with some sublime poems or songs ~ & maybe some more for fun than sublimity. Or at a funeral or other occasion of family gathering.

Tell a folktale at school assembly.

Direct a choir as part of your educational programme.

Provide one of your range of activities, with story-telling, group singing, maybe some theatre skills along the way.

Tell stories at your youth group. Perhaps with participatory voice work as well. Ease the youngsters into simple harmony singing.

Perform a programme of poetry or folksongs (or both), or a longer single poem, for your social group. Could be preceded by a workshop on some of the material.

Do a spot in your variety event or at your business social.

Look at aspects of English with older pupils ~ topics in grammar & idiom (not boring!); what's in a word; old forms including Anglo Saxon. (Enquire well in advance to allow careful co-ordination with your teaching.)

Give tuition in voice & interpretation for poetry performance.

Present a full poetry performance to your group or in your public programme.

The area directly served is roughly Middlesbrough to Scarborough & the North York Moors.

If you want my services for a one-off occasion far away, & you are not in a hurry, I can contact you if & when I come performing in your area.

VISITORS

Sometimes a prospective customer will wish to attend a sample of my work. I may ask if you will allow such a visitor to come to your booked session.

You are free to decline, of course. In the case of charitable appointments which I take on for no pay, I will usually expect to count on your kindness in this respect except where you have a specially sensitive clientele.
