 POETRY  PERFORMANCE. 

Lively delivery of lyric & narrative poems.   By heart or using a text.

Skilled artistic recitation; not gimmicky or jazzed up, but often using the performance space to show the action, especially in narrative verse.  
Poems ancient & modern, the familiar & the never-heard-that-before.  

Always (or nearly always!) good poetry, making a performance the vocal equivalent of a soul-nourishing music recital.  

I keep a few long (30-40 minutes or so) narrative poems in my repertoire.

​If you are familiar with poetry "readings", this will be something different.

My technical approach is with Rudolf Steiner's "Speech Formation" method.

​ STORY  TELLING. 

World & local folk-tales  ~  simple, direct & engaging (no books).  

For children  ~  & for adults who have still a morsel of child in them.

 FOLKSONGS. 

Sung solo, unaccompanied.  

I can sometimes provide scores for piano accompaniment if you can produce the player.   In informal settings I sometimes add simple accompaniment myself.

 CHORAL  SINGING. 

I can lead your group in harmony singing.   Beginners to more challenging.
