Children's  day  trips

Coming soon, possibly summer 2018.

Revival of a successful project conducted long ago in Bristol.

Experiencing the outdoors.

Walking & exploring.

May include map-reading & way-finding skills.

Please note, this is NOT:

Specialised activities such as caving, rock-climbing, or abseiling.

Visiting tourist attractions & amusement places.

Long-distance or endurance challenges.

IT  IS:

LEARNING TO MAKE AN EXCITING DAY OUT almost anywhere & for little expense.

Potentially gaining that skill for life.

Going interesting ways on paths — & often not on paths.

May include map-reading skills:  How to find your way;  how to plan a good route.

Discovering places & features not noticed by walkers who follow the guide book.

Such as:  safe (but safe!) ways up crags;  little-known waterfalls;  ancient stones & ruins;  wild pathless moorland;  hidden valleys & gorges.

This activity will probably be based in a community organisation, still to be confirmed.

THIS  IS  SEPARATE  FROM  MY  PERFORMING,  SPEECH  &  MUSIC  ACTIVITIES  (which this website is mostly about).

Please ask me for more details.
